3Purpose
Promoting enterprise in society by encouraging young and older people towards meaningful enterprise in their lives, and providing temporary shelter and day activities to young and older people who are not able to work or take part in other activities.
The above is the activity description registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce. The foundation has no profit motive; its income is spent solely on its purpose.
4Main points of the policy plan
What the foundation does
The foundation organises and supports activities that contribute to direction and talent development (workshops, training, development programmes, coaching, self-inquiry and reflection), personal development (skills, behavioural change, self-reliance, mental resilience and ownership), entrepreneurial spirit (developing initiative, creative projects, social enterprises and entrepreneurship programmes), participation and connection (social projects, volunteering, daytime activities, networking meetings and community building), and innovation and technology (digital tools, knowledge platforms and AI-supported learning and development environments). It also wants to create physical and mobile meeting places. The Gofounder platform is one of the tools it may use for this; the platform is a means and not an end in itself.
Who it is for
A broad group of people who stand to benefit from direction, development, participation or stronger initiative: young people, students, jobseekers, people at a distance from the labour market, older people, volunteers, starting entrepreneurs and social initiators. Particular attention goes to people who temporarily cannot take part, or can take part only to a limited extent, in education, work or other social activities.
Raising, managing and spending the assets
The foundation raises funds from donations, gifts, grants, funds, sponsorship, bequests, inheritances, contributions from partners and proceeds from activities that contribute to the statutory objects. The board manages the assets and sees to it that resources are used responsibly, transparently and effectively; the foundation holds no more assets than is reasonably necessary for the continuity of its work. The resources are spent entirely on realising the statutory objects, including social programmes, workshops and training, daytime activities, temporary shelter, guidance, digital tools, research, community activities, volunteer initiatives and educational projects. The foundation has no profit motive, and at least 90% of its activities serve the public benefit.
Partnerships
Wherever possible the foundation works with educational institutions, municipalities, welfare and care organisations, volunteer networks, social initiatives, cultural and knowledge institutions, businesses, funds and grant providers. Partnerships are entered into only where they contribute to the social objects.
Multi-year policy 2026–2029
The foundation focuses on activities around personal development, participation and entrepreneurial spirit, and on supporting young people, adults and older people in finding direction and a meaningful way to spend their days — through workshops, training, coaching, mentoring, daytime activities, temporary shelter and social projects. It also develops digital tools that support personal growth and participation, and builds a durable network of participants, volunteers, social organisations, educational institutions, municipalities and other partners.
On dissolution
Any liquidation surplus will be spent on a public benefit organisation, or on a foreign institution that pursues the public benefit exclusively or almost exclusively (articles of association, article 15).

7Remuneration policy
Board members receive no remuneration for their work. They are entitled only to reimbursement of costs actually incurred, and may receive only a non-excessive attendance fee, insofar as that fits within the applicable ANBI rules and the articles of association. Volunteers may receive an expense allowance or volunteer allowance within the legal and tax frameworks. The foundation has no employees; staff, contracted professionals or external experts may receive a market-rate fee where their involvement is necessary to carry out the objects.
8Report of activities carried out
The foundation was incorporated on 13 April 2026 and has not yet closed its first financial year. The first activity report will be published here once that year has ended.
9Financial accountability
The financial accounts consist of a balance sheet, a statement of income and expenditure, and notes to both.
The first financial year runs from 13 April 2026 to 31 December 2026; the financial year matches the calendar year. No annual accounts have been adopted for that year yet. The financial report will be published here within six months of the end of that financial year.
Expected publication: before July 1, 2027.
